The rose patten was particularly challanging. All I had in the begining was a cut out drawing of a rose and lotus flower. The idea was to create a colorful pattern so I started by filling ten roses with different color textures. Each rose has a fill color and an outline color. It took me some time to find two color textures that would work together for each rose. There should be enough contrast between the two color textures and the outline should be visible considering how thin is is. Having done that I created three sizes for the roses to create more depth and displayed them manualy to give them a random effect. They are all overlaped to give the illusion that there are hundreds of roses. I used the same process for the lotus flowers but displayed them more separately as if they where sprinkled. The final result was a beautiful river of flowers.
